Getting Started

Dear Passengers Beginner Guide

Every journey begins with choosing passengers and cargo before dividing the crew between the cockpit and cabin. The team must then survive weather, passenger problems, and physics-driven emergencies to deliver the flight.

1

Choose Your Passengers and Cargo

Review the available passengers and cargo before takeoff. Larger payouts usually come with harder-to-please passengers, difficult cargo, or more dangerous situations.

Start with a manageable combination instead of filling the plane with every high-risk option.
2

Assign the Pilot

One crew member should focus on flying the plane while the remaining players work inside the cabin.

Keep the pilot informed about cabin emergencies, but avoid pulling their attention away from weather and aircraft control.
3

Divide the Cabin Duties

Cabin crew members must serve food and drinks, watch the passengers, protect cargo, and respond when something goes wrong.

Give each player a main responsibility so multiple crew members do not abandon one problem to handle the same task.
4

Keep Passengers Under Control

Passengers expect service and a reasonably smooth journey, but some are harder to please or may actively disrupt the cabin.

Handle small passenger problems early before they spread into a larger cabin emergency.
5

Secure the Cargo

Cargo can be difficult to handle, illegal, or dangerous. Physics and turbulence can also throw unsecured objects around the aircraft.

Regularly check high-risk cargo instead of assuming it will remain contained for the entire flight.
6

React to Weather and Turbulence

Dynamic weather, air pockets, and turbulence can throw passengers, luggage, and loose cabin objects through the plane.

The pilot should warn the cabin before sharp turns or dangerous weather whenever possible.
7

Stop Problems from Escalating

Emergencies can begin anywhere onboard. The crew must quickly decide whether to serve, restrain, protect, repair, or remove the source of the problem.

Deal with the most dangerous issue first: aircraft safety, escaped cargo, and uncontrolled passengers take priority over routine service.
8

Deliver the Flight

Reach the destination with as many passengers and as much cargo intact as possible. The central challenge is preserving the value of the flight while surviving the chaos created by the chosen load.

A controlled lower-risk flight is better practice than accepting a large payout the crew cannot safely manage.
Co-op Strategy

Dear Passengers Co-op Roles and Team Strategy

One player pilots the aircraft while the rest of the team manages the cabin. Clear responsibilities prevent food service, passenger control, and dangerous cargo from being ignored during emergencies.

Pilot

Cockpit
  • Fly the aircraft
  • Respond to changing weather
  • Manage turns during turbulence and air pockets
  • Warn the cabin about dangerous conditions
Report sharp turns, turbulence, and aircraft problems before they affect the cabin.
The pilot should remain focused on flight control while cabin players handle passengers and cargo whenever possible.

Cabin Lead

Passenger cabin
  • Track the condition of the cabin
  • Choose which problem the team handles first
  • Coordinate passenger service
  • Relay urgent information to the pilot
Give short instructions identifying the problem, its location, and the crew member responsible for it.
Use this assignment when several incidents happen at once and the team needs one player to set priorities.

Passenger Service

Seating and service areas
  • Serve food and drinks
  • Watch demanding or unruly passengers
  • Prevent passenger problems from escalating
  • Help restore order after turbulence
Call out passengers who are becoming dangerous or interfering with other cabin duties.
Routine service should continue during calm periods, but immediate safety problems always come first.

Cargo and Containment

Cargo hold and storage areas
  • Monitor difficult or dangerous cargo
  • Protect cargo during turbulence
  • Contain escaped cargo
  • Remove loose objects from active cabin areas
Immediately report escaped animals, damaged containers, or cargo moving through the aircraft.
High-risk cargo requires repeated checks because turbulence and physics can turn a contained load into a cabin-wide emergency.

Emergency Support

Entire aircraft
  • Move between the cockpit, cabin, and cargo areas
  • Assist the player facing the largest problem
  • Control loose passengers and objects
  • Respond when multiple incidents overlap
Confirm which emergency is being handled so the rest of the crew can continue their assigned work.
On smaller teams, combine this role with passenger service or cargo duty and switch priorities as the situation changes.

Two-Player Setup

Cockpit and cabin
  • Player one handles the aircraft
  • Player two handles passengers, service, and cargo
  • Both communicate before major turns or emergency actions
The cabin player should report only urgent issues while the pilot communicates upcoming turbulence and maneuvers.
Choose fewer high-risk passengers and cargo because one cabin player must cover every non-pilot responsibility.
Flight Planning

Dear Passengers Passengers and Cargo Guide

Dear Passengers connects flight value directly to difficulty. Passengers and cargo are selected before takeoff, and the more profitable choices usually create more trouble for an unprepared crew.

Standard Passengers

Low Risk

Expect food, drinks, and a smooth flight.

Payout: Baseline passenger income
Poor service can create additional cabin pressure while the crew handles other problems.
Complete routine service during calm sections of the flight and keep the aisles clear.

Hard-to-Please Passengers

Medium Risk

Require more attention than ordinary passengers.

Payout: Higher-paying passenger selection
Repeated demands can distract the crew from cargo and aircraft emergencies.
Assign one cabin player to passenger service and resolve complaints before they become disruptive.

Unruly Passengers

High Risk

Can disrupt the cabin and interfere with the crew.

Payout: Riskier passenger selection
A single passenger can turn a controlled flight into a wider cabin incident.
Control the passenger quickly and keep other crew members focused on flying and protecting cargo.

Regular Cargo

Low Risk

Must be delivered to the destination and protected during the flight.

Payout: Baseline cargo income
Turbulence can move unsecured cargo and reduce the crew's control of the cabin.
Keep cargo contained and inspect it after strong turbulence or sharp maneuvers.

Hard-to-Handle Cargo

Medium Risk

Creates more work for the crew than ordinary freight.

Payout: Higher payout
Requires extra monitoring and may become difficult to control when the aircraft moves.
Accept it only when at least one cabin player can regularly check the cargo area.

Illegal Cargo

High Risk

The airline can carry illegal freight as part of its risky cargo selections.

Payout: High-risk cargo value
Adds another dangerous responsibility to a flight that may already contain difficult passengers and bad weather.
Limit other high-risk selections so the crew has enough capacity to protect the load.

Animal Cargo

Extreme Risk

The revealed footage includes a crocodile escaping from a shipping crate.

Payout: Premium-risk cargo
An escaped animal can move through the aircraft and create an immediate safety emergency.
Keep a crew member near the cargo area and treat any containment failure as a higher priority than passenger service.

Loose Luggage and Cabin Objects

Medium Risk

Turbulence and air pockets can throw luggage and unsecured objects around the cabin.

Payout: No separate payout
Moving objects can hit passengers, block movement, and make other emergencies harder to manage.
Reduce loose objects before rough weather and restore the cabin after every major turbulence event.

Mixed High-Risk Flight

Extreme Risk

Combines demanding passengers with difficult or dangerous cargo.

Payout: Highest overall payout potential
Several incidents may happen at the same time, forcing the crew to abandon routine duties.
Use clear role assignments and prioritize aircraft safety, escaped cargo, and uncontrolled passengers in that order.
In-Flight Survival

Dear Passengers Flight Hazards and Emergencies

Dear Passengers uses physics-based hazards that affect both the cockpit and cabin. The pilot must keep the aircraft controllable while cabin crew secure passengers, cargo, and loose objects, extinguish fires, and handle anything that escapes or breaks during the flight.

Cabin Operations

Dear Passengers Cabin Service and Passenger Management

Cabin crew balance hospitality with damage control. The safest approach is to clear immediate threats first, secure the cabin during rough flight, protect valuable cargo, and then resume food and drink service once crew movement is no longer blocked.

Stop Immediate Emergencies

Nearest available cabin crew memberFire, escaped cargo, damaged aircraft sections, or an active external threat

Suspend normal service and contain the danger before it spreads to passengers, cargo, or another part of the aircraft.

Prevents a small incident from consuming the entire crew.

Secure the Cabin During Rough Air

Cabin crew coordinated with the pilotDynamic weather, turbulence, or air pockets

Secure luggage, service equipment, passengers, and loose cargo while keeping important aisles open.

Reduces physics-based chaos and preserves access to emergencies.

Control Unruly Passengers

Cabin crewA passenger becomes disruptive, aggressive, or impossible to manage

Separate the troublemaker, restore control of the surrounding seats, and remove the passenger when containment fails.

Stops one passenger from disrupting service and emergency response across the cabin.

Protect High-Paying Cargo

Assigned cargo handlerCargo shifts, breaks open, or begins creating additional trouble

Return cargo to a secure position, inspect its container, and prevent passengers or escaped cargo from damaging nearby shipments.

Protects the flight payout and limits secondary hazards.

Keep Walkways Clear

Any cabin crew member moving through the aircraftLuggage, meals, passengers, or broken objects block movement

Move loose objects away from doors, aisles, and routes between the cockpit, cabin, and cargo hold.

Allows crew members to reach new problems without delay.

Serve Food and Drinks

Service-focused cabin crew memberThe aircraft is stable and no immediate emergency requires attention

Deliver meals and drinks while another crew member watches passengers and cargo.

Meets passenger expectations without leaving the aircraft unprotected.

Reset the Cabin After an Incident

Available cabin crewA fire, turbulence event, passenger conflict, or cargo escape has been contained

Recover scattered supplies, reseat passengers, secure luggage, and prepare for the next event.

Prevents leftover debris from making the next emergency harder.

Maintain Pilot Communication

Cabin leadAny major change in cabin conditions

Report fires, cargo problems, blocked areas, and passenger emergencies while receiving warnings about upcoming weather or aircraft movement.

Keeps cockpit decisions and cabin actions working toward the same priority.
